Pauline G. Atkins, 97, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Hospice Savannah. She was born in Williamsburg, Virginia and was the widow of George Griffith Atkins. She was a homemaker and a community volunteer. In 1984, she and her husband moved to Savannah from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine A. Fagin and son-in-law, Dr. Ronald R. Fagin of Savannah; grandsons Garland F. Chick and his wife Mary Anna of Jacksonville, Florida and Steven G. Chick and his wife Mary Holmes of Savannah; granddaughter, Catherine C. Norton and her husband, Tom, of Jacksonville, Florida; step-granddaughters Meredith F. Malcolm and her husband, Mike, of Monroe, Georgia and Kimberly F. Collins and her husband, Jim, of Savannah; and 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwich Cemetery with Rev. Lowry M. Brantley and Rev. James W. Giddens officiating.

Pauline was a grand and gracious lady. It was a blessing for me to know her in this life.My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they grieve for the loss of someone so dear.
